One morning i woke up and found i had a mouse/rat trapped, but still alive. It was making squeaking sounds, so i recorded them, edited out the noise as much as i knew how to, and amplified the whole thing. The mouse was disposed of shortly afterward. This is the sound my computer's fan made, recorded with my laptop. Apparently, this fan is crapping out and goes haywire after less than ten minutes. This is a slightly too-loud recording made on a mid-afternoon weekday bus trip in suburban shanghai. One can hear the automated announcements, the voice of the ticket collector and other passengers, the traffic outside and the sound of the bus accelerating and braking.

I recorded this at late night in a rural german area at summer, approximately 150 - 200 meters away from the party (the party took place on a big and open field). The wind was blowing away from the people towards me, which is the reason, why you can hear the people well, even though there were trees between the people and the recording micorphone. Checked-in to a hotel in raleigh, north carolina with my wife to catch a flight early the next morning out of rdu. We where located in the news media viewing area called nasa causeway. This as close as anyone can get to the launch. This was the maiden voyage of the orion spacecraft, and one of the very few delta iv heavy launches. In the beginning of recording you hear nasa announcer giving countdown into loud speakers, when you reach around the 1min 50 sec mark the true booster engine sound overtakes the pa system. Squeaky audio cable-to-speaker incomplete connection. One end is plugged into a speaker and the other is not plugged into anything. The squeaking sound is made from my fingers touching the tip and sides of the metal tip of the non-connected end of the cable. The variation of sound and pitch is from moving my fingers up and down the metal tip in different speeds, angles, and placements.

There's two male ghosts, one of them more loud and more low pitched than second. They sing along some song without words and screams, they're just wail and howl. Ideally can be placed in any place related somehow to ghosts(abandoned home, castle, graveyard) in some suspense moments or as constant sound on background(though, i should notice, that the sound isn't seamless). A busy morning in the deep woods in mid april. Recorded in the shawnee forest in illinois on april 15th, 2017 using the sound devices 702 and the stereo microphone, audio technica bp4025. A true stereo recording. The migrating birds have arrived from central and south america. This shows how nature sometimes can be quite loud and busy! pretty cool to listen to with good headphones on.

You know that high pitch beep you hear after something super loud, like an explosion? here's a five second effort to reproduce that sound. It fades out towards the end like the person either comes back to themselves or passes out. There's probably some on freesound already but i couldn't find them so i just made my own in audacity.

This is a toyota supra on a chassis dyno being revved to the max. It has a turbo on it and you can hear it whining. It gets extremely loud to the point of distortion, but it will be a great sound for somebody who needs an engine rev without the vehicle passing by.

Rooster cock-a-doodle-dooing: there is no sound like it. A very loud and sharp effect of a rooster doing what it does best. Interesting (but painful) sounds made with a zoom h2 (front mics, low gain) connected to a laptop via usb. The signal was piped to old creative sbs250 spekers with 16ms of latency (i'm using jack audio connection kit and linux). That's how my feedback loop came into existance. I turned up the volume and started to move the mics around, geting a lot of different sounds ranginf from simple tones to strange lfoish sounds. The sound touches 0db one times, but is rather undistorted (at least digitally). Recorded with audacity @ 48khz/16-bit and saved as flac.

I made a project in cubase which had 12 tracks each playing a sine wave in a different note of the chromatic scale, each sine wave also had slightly varied lfos on volume and pitch. Then i put this sound through the soundtoys crystallizer plug and recorded it while manipulating various parameters. Ended up with 3 minutes of crazy glitched out sounds, use for anything you like!. It gets pretty out of control at some points so don't have your speakers up too loud :).

This very happy bird-song was recorded in late winter/very early spring of 2012. It was a cold, partly sunny morning after a cold night, yet this red male cardinal was singing proud and loud. Recorded in a small town, with some traffic sounds in the back. Also, if you listen close enough you will hear some starlings in the background with their waking up chorus. Recorded using the handy/zoom h4n recorder and a samson c0-2 microphone mounted inside my home-built parabolic reflector.

I was fooling around with audacity and created this neat little sound. I have no clue how to lower the volume, and really, i mean it: this thing is loud. I keep my volume at 10% and i couldn't even listen to this thing with my headphones. I have tried to lower the volume (so that it doesn't hurt the ears) but to no avail. During the covid-19 lockdown, i spent some time walking where the city meets a mountain and discovered an area with loud but subtle electric infrastructure wires. These, along with cars, birds, and rustling leaves, are recorded with binaural microphones and cropped down to one minute.

2016-06-01clear creek metro parkrockbridge, ohio. In late spring 2016, seventeen-year cicadas emerged in a section of the united states that includes eastern ohio. The cicadas crawl out of the ground, shed their skins, and climb up into the trees. One cicada makes a loud and distinctive sound, but a whole group of them creates a dull roar. This recording was made on the cemetery ridge trail at clear creek metro park in rockbridge, ohio. I was standing some distance from the cicada sounds, trying to capture the pervasive roar from a distance. Sound recorded using the built-in mic on an iphone 5.

This sound is modeled after the inception movie's large horn blast. It is a low multi-voiced saw wave with a specific ring modulation setting to give it it's effect. This sound is rendered as a 44100 sample rate 16 bit wav file. Made with native instrument's massive inside ableton live 9.

This is a recording of the six o'clock cicada taken near to the danum valley rain forest lodge in the primary rain forest of borneo. The 6 o'clock cicada is the loud horn type of sound that can be heard in the fist few seconds of the file. Later in the file other insects come in one sounding more like a car alarm.

This 6:17 minute cut from a 25:00 piv (penis in vagina) sex session that features loud doggystyle sexual intercourse between two young consenting adults. This clip was made because i was looking for a strong thunderstorm sound effect for a school play. I wasn't able to find one that was strong enough for what i wanted, so this. Mp3 was made in audacity from three other audio files from freesound - they are #s 27247, 2521, and 87472. This information is also in the 'comment' metadata of the mp3 file. As far as i can tell, this is the "strongest" storm available on freesound as of early february 2010. (i could be wrong of course!). If there is interest, i can upload an uncompressed aif of the audacity track (it'll take awhile) but i figured there was no point since 2/3rds of the files used were originally mp3's from here. While perusing freesound for a nice and dramatic sound or two of failures, all the ones i've seen were pretty wimpy, so-to-speak. So i decided to create a few failure samples on a music-making program called musescore. These are for big whopper failures (or "epic failures") and are very dramatic - they may also be used for a scary event in a film or play. It includes a short buildup and a loud dissonant chord at the end to create suspense and horror. For this project i used violins, violas, cellos, double basses, timpani, cymbals and brass. Enjoy!.

Keep the korks - they have a very special sound different from the korks of wine bottles. 3. Then, if you're still able to hit (maybe you shouldn't drink the brandy alone and at once), fill things in a flat bowl or a plate - f. E. Pepper grains or salt. 4. Step the korks in the bowl and record it. You may also - as i did - step the korks on other things like a ventilator. 5. Compress the sounds hard but limit them to -4 db (as they sound not naturally if they are to loud).

Today i was cleaning the house on a leisurely sunday, and came across a piece of thicker paper by my printer. When i picked it up to put it in recycling, it was rather loud. I used to work security at an apartment in a major college town so i had quite a few opportunities to catch some action. I'm not going to reveal the name of the city or town i was in for obvious privacy reasons. This was one of my best catches. Her sexy moans makes her sound like a porn star and if i'm not mistaken, i think she was getting anal. It sounded like she said "fuck me in the ass" at least twice, maybe three times throughout the recording.

Thousands of cicadas occur in endless cycles for roughly one minute, at least where i was in my backyard in san antonio, texas. At the beginning of the cycle, they truly sound like a jet with engines idling on a runway, growing louder as it maneuvers into a take-off position. After several more seconds, the soft whirring grows louder and louder for about ten seconds or so, and at the closing of the cycle crescendos into a a sustained cacophony like crickets on crack.

I made a great impersonation of the grudge when she is angry using adiomass and my own voice! i thought it was a good idea since i had figured out how to make that sound a long time ago (like 2 months or something) the scream you may hear at the end was me breathing out but because i added 250% more gain over and over again i ended up sounding like i met the "grudge". Good for horror movies and possibly a grudge 2 (although i already saw the old grudge 2 this would be a remake. ).

When the conversion started i wanted to see what it looked like so far and this is what i got out of it. I didn't want to delete it because it sounded so cool. . . . Almost like what a computer world might sound like or "a computer's brain". But anyways i figured maybe someone else might want a sound like this too. I might use it someday myself.
